چکیده

Submarine volcano 7.10, which is part of the North Iturup group submarine volcanoes Kuril island arc, was studied in 5 voyages research vessel Vulkanolog 1982–1989. Comprehensive studies have shown that edifice 7.10 composed rocks a range from dacites to basalts. The summit and slopes are devoid sediments, base overlain by sedimentary stratum, thickness reaches 800 m. minimum depth recorded above top 210 In volcanic edifice, subvertical, northeastern northwestern feeder channels, as well peripheral magma chambers at depths 2.5–3.0 km, were identified. It assumed during terminal eruption, small lava flows poured out northeast southwest directions, while main flow southeast direction reached edifice.

Geophysical Identification and Geological Implications of

The southern Alaska magnetic trough (SAMT) is one of the fundamental, crustal-scale, magnetic features of Alaska. It is readily recognized on 10 km upward-continued aeromagnetic maps of the state. The arcuate SAMT ranges from 30 to 100 km wide and extends in two separate segments along the southern Alaska margin for about 1200 km onshore (from near the Alaska/Canada border at about 60 degrees n...

High resolution seismic data coupled to Multibeam bathymetry of Stromboli island collected in the frame of the Stromboli geophysical experiment: implications with the marine geophysics and volcanology of the Aeolian Arc volcanic complex (Sicily, Southern Tyrrhenian sea, Italy)

New high resolution seismic data (Subbottom Chirp) coupled to high resolution Multibeam bathymetry collected in the frame of the Stromboli geophysical experiment aimed at recording active seismic data and tomography of the Stromboli Island are here presented. The Stromboli geophysical experiment has been already carried out based on onshore and offshore data acquisition in order to investigate ...

An integrated geological, hydrogeological and geophysical approach

This work sets out a physical-stratigraphical reconstruction of the superficial aquifer in the Brindisi area; this site is recognized to be at significant environmental risk (Law no. 426/98) by the Italian government. Geological, hydrogeological and geophysical methodologies were applied. The geological characterisation consisted of surface 5 and subsoil surveys. The existing stratigraphical, g...
